1st January 2020 the amendments on the Law on Patients’ Rights and Compensation for Health Damage came into the force in. The amendments established the “non-fault” liability model.

The new procedure significantly simplifies the procedure for claiming damages. The new regulation is expected to reduce unnecessary confrontation between patients and medical institutions.
