Marger team successfully defended the rights of the judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania.
The judge was dismissed from his office by the decisions of the Judicial Council, President, and Parliament after a resonant investigation where several judges and attorneys were suspected.
The court of first instance upheld Marger team‘s arguments that, firstly, the dismissed judge did not conclude the suspected actions and, secondly, the fundamental procedural rights of the judge were violated.
The court annulled the decision of the Judicial Council and addressed the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania concerning the annulment of the decisions of the President and the Parliament.
Marger team consisted of the partners Mindaugas Dūda and Ramūnas Kontrauskas.
